HOW IT WORKS
Traditionally, hair removal devices apply all of their energy to any given area all at once. By sending multiple lower fluence pulses at a high repetition rate, Forever Bare BBL™ provides a treatment that is safe, fast, effective and comfortable. BBL technology allows for extremely even heating of hair follicles and minimizes missed areas that occur with traditional hair removal devices.
Forever Bare BBL™ uses multiple wavelengths of light, transmitted in broadband light form through the laser. It targets the hair at its roots, where concentrations of pigments, like melanin, are present. The melanin deposits at the root of the hair attract and retain the light, trapping its energy until it converts to heat, destroying the hair from the root, without harming any surrounding tissue.
WHAT TO EXPECT
HOW IT FEELS
A thermoelectrically-cooled sapphire crystal on the hand piece provides continuous skin cooling before, during and after the treatment for added comfort.
A clear gel will be applied to the skin before your treatment begins. BBL energy is then delivered with a cooled applicator in either a gliding or stamping motion. You may experience a warm or stinging sensation in the treatment area. Discomfort is minimal, but varies from patient to patient.
Treatment time varies depending on the size of the treated area as well as hair and skin type. Typically, a small area only takes a few minutes, while larger areas can take 15 minutes or longer.
Forever Bare BBL™ is a comfortable treatment with no downtime. While there may be some redness for a few hours on the treatment sites, most normal activities can be resumed immediately. Throughout the week following this treatment, you may experience what seems to be a regrowth of hair. Most of these hairs are actually being shed as a result of the treatment and are not growing back. Sunscreen should be worn on treated areas with a minimum SPF 30.
Most areas require 3-5 treatments at 4-6 week intervals to achieve optimal results. Long-term results depend on hair thickness, the area treated and the hair’s growth cycle.
